Singapore Road Safety AWARDS (SRSA) 2021

1. The Singapore Road Safety Council (SRSC) has been relentless in promoting road safety, reaching out to the everyone including vehicle fleet owners and vocational drivers and riders. SRSA is a joint effort with the Traffic Police, Land Transport Authority and Workplace Safety & Health Council, to recognize exemplary companies and company drivers/riders for their effort to put in place systems and conscientiously work towards keeping our roads safe.

2. For SRSA 2021, we have moved toward targeting 2 major groups of companies:

  1. (A) Companies that own their own fleet of vehicle and
  2. (B) Companies that outsource their transport or observe a co-sharing model.

3. Moving forward, Excellence and Merit Awards will be given out to exemplary companies and company drivers in both group of companies.

4. The details of the new groups and their qualifying conditions are detailed below. Please note the assessment period this time is for 2 years, 1 Jan 2019 to 31 Dec 2020.

5. Please download the form and submit it (MS EXCEL format) to Ms Irene Goh. All submission to be in softcopy. All applications are to reach SRSC Secretariat by 30 Jul 2021, 5pm.

6. The results will be out in the 3rd quarter of the year. The results will be final and only winners will be notified of the result by email.

COMPANIES THAT OWNS AND MANAGE THEIR OWN VEHICLE FLEET

  1. (I) Company Award

    1. Companies operating and maintaining a minimum of 20 vehicles of the following fleet type may participate in this category. Each company may make separate submission for each vehicle fleet type.

      1. Light Goods Vehicle Fleet (vehicle not more than 3.5 metric tonne);
      2. Heavy Goods Vehicle Fleet (vehicle of 3.5 metric tonne and above);
      3. Public Bus Fleet;
      4. Non-Public Bus;
    2. Eligible criteria for the award are as follow :

      1. There must be no fatal road traffic accidents amongst the company’s list of vehicles during the assessment period between 1 Jan 2019 to 31 Dec 2020,
      2. The company has in place, a safety system/structure to improve driver/rider safety on the road,
      3. Companies are to submit supporting documents to demonstrate the safety plans, training or initiative taken, training records/materials etc. to substantiate the effort.
      4. Companies MUST attach a list of vehicles registered under the company in EXCEL/CSV format.
  2. (II) Safe Driver Awards

    1. Companies that own 20 or more vehicle fleet type above, and Taxi companies may nominate ONE driver for each vehicle category.

    2. Eligible nominees should

      1. Have been with the company for a minimum of 2 years.
      2. NOT have any road traffic accident record and traffic violation record within the assessment period 1 Jan 2019 to 31 Dec 2020.
      3. Driver/rider must have no outstanding or pending traffic or criminal proceedings at the point of application submission.

COMPANIES THAT DO NOT OWN THEIR OWN VEHICLE FLEET

  1. (I) Company Award

    1. The award is open to companies managing an outsourced/shared service fleet of 20 or more vehicles (any vehicular types) including companies that operate online ride-hailing, online-shopping and food/goods delivery platform, logistics and courier companies etc. Companies may make separate submission for one or more of the following categories:

      1. Private passenger vehicle;
      2. Goods vehicle of less than 3.5matric tonne;
      3. Goods vehicle of 3.5matric tonne and above;
      4. Motorcycle
    2. Eligible criteria for the award are as follow :

      1. There must be no fatal road traffic accidents amongst the company’s list of outsourced partners/individual hires during the assessment period between 1 Jan 2019 to 31 Dec 2020,
      2. The company has in place a safety system/structure to improve driver/rider safety on the road,
      3. Companies are to submit supporting documents to demonstrate the safety plans, training or initiative taken, training records/materials etc. to substantiate the effort.
  2. (II) Safe Driver Awards

    1. Companies that have 20 or more outsourced partners or individual private hire, may nominate ONE driver/rider for each vehicle category.

    2. Eligible nominees should

      1. have a good driving record and be a user of the company online platform or be an outsourced sub-contractor of the company for a minimum of 2 years.
      2. NOT have any road traffic accident record and traffic violation record within the assessment period 1 Jan 2019 to 31 Dec 2020.
      3. Driver/rider must have no outstanding or pending traffic or criminal proceedings at the point of application submission.
